Religious Holidays

In planning class, departmental, or student group events, keep in mind major religious holidays in addition to university holidays. A useful resource is a listing of holy days available at the following inter-faith website. http://www.interfaithcalendar.org/2009.htm

Please also note the following university policy:

"When a religious holiday falls during scheduled class time, faculty are expected not to place a student in jeopardy for observing a religious custom. For example, quizzes affecting the grading of a student's performance should be rescheduled or alternative times be offered."
