Pompeii Forum Image Database

    This page accesses a database of photographs taken during a field visit to Pompeii during the summer of 1997. 442 photographs were taken and transferred to photo CD. The images are coming on line incrementally, and the database retrieves images that are online, and reports information about those off line.

    Each thumbnail retrieved is accompanied by three links:

    • *: A link to an image with a maximum dimension of 512 pixels.
    • **: A link to an image with a maximum dimension of 1536 pixels.
    • edit: A link to a page for editing image information (a password is required to submit changes).
